AM-HB100 Doppler Radar Speed Detector

The HB100 Microwave Arduino Speed Radar Module uses the principles of Doppler radar to design a moving object detector using microwaves. It is mainly used in systems such as automatic door control switches, security systems, ATMs, check-in control systems, automatic train signals, venues, etc.

The Arduino Speed Radar is a HB100 Doppler radar detector that operates at a standard microwave frequency of 10.525 GHz. It has several advantages over other detection methods: 1) it does not require physical contact with the detected object; 2) it is independent of changes in temperature, humidity, noise, air, dust and light, making it suitable for harsh environments; 3) it has RF anti-jamming capability; 4) its output power is low and does not pose a danger to humans; 5) its detection range is greater than 20 meters.

The Doppler effect principle is used in the design of the HB100 microwave detector. According to this theory, when radio waves hit a moving object, the reflected wave undergoes a change in frequency depending on the speed of the object’s movement. If the position of the object is fixed, the frequency of the reflected wave is equal to the frequency of the scattered wave. On the other hand, if the object moves in the direction of the wave, the frequency of the reflected wave increases, while it decreases if the object moves away from the wave.

The Arduino Speed Radar and Microwave Detector HB100 is designed using the principle of Doppler effect. It includes a microwave oscillator DRO, a FET source circuit (at 10.525 GHz), an antenna distributor, a transmitting antenna, a receiving antenna, mixers, detectors, etc. Microwaves are transmitted by external antennas, and when they encounter a moving object, the reflected wave is received by the receiving antenna, then mixed and detected to determine the speed of the moving object.
